No. Your email is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your password, which never reaches us. The client is open source, so you can easily see that only ciphertext is sent before upload. It is a technical impossibility, not just a promise.

No, nothing is auto-deleted. There is a grace period, followed by a read-only stage in which you can export everything, with clear notices and a deletion date announced well in advance. Nothing is ever deleted silently or instantly.
